Life Series: Behavior
July 13, 2012 at 9:11 AM This life series is meant to help you gain the tools to make some changes in your life. I try hard every day to make changes in my life. To me life seems to move very slowly. I read all the time. Right now my favorite authors are Wayne Dyer, Rhonda Byrne, Steve Pavlina and James Allen. I do have a lot more favorites it all depends on what life challenges I am going through.
As you may have read in the past I had hard times with relationships, personal and intimate. And actually for most of my life I didn't really like people or care to be around them. If you were to meet me now you would never be able to tell that I ever felt like that. The reason I felt this way was because I didn't understand how people worked. For me when I don't understand something I spend as long as it takes to understand and become better at it. As you have heard before when we are faced with a challenge it is up to us to overcome by learning. There are many life lessons out there and the more we experience the more we have to learn. Thank God I love to learn.
I made it through my "relationship" challenges quite nicely. I can relate well to all different kinds of people. As a matter of fact I want to continue to learn, change and become the best I can in order to help those who need it. But I will also be the first to tell you that sometimes I would rather move to a small cabin in the mountains away from it all and just read until my day comes to go home.
But for now, here I am willing to help you overcome your obstacles if I can. The past few days I have been reading a ton and working on how life works. I know that is a big topic and a lot to digest but here is what I have found out, in a nutshell.
Life is VERY big, sometimes too big. But we go around day to day looking through a toilet paper tube. We become very focused on our own individual lives and get lost in the chaos forgetting to think about the big picture. Here is a picture to help illustrate.
As a society we become very focused on ourselves and our problems forgetting about the whole universe and why we are all here. As shown in the picture above first there is you the center of the universe as you know it. What you feel and think and believe is all part of your reality. This can be different from how your partner feels, or your children or even me. How you feel is the center part of you and your universe.
Then there comes the people that are closest to you your spouse, partner and children. These are the people you care about most.
Then the next circle represents the next set of people and or circumstances work, clients, patients, friends and co-workers. Keep in mind with the people come the difficulties and situations that you deal with.
Then the outer circle is the whole universe that we cannot see or even begin to fathom. This part is very difficult to understand. Since we are physical beings we use our senses to direct us and since we cannot see or feel the universe we tend to forget about it. Push it inside or outside of us and don't deal with or talk about it unless we absolutely have to.
And here I am going to talk about and perhaps get you to open up a bit more and allow my own personal experience enter your reality. With my current struggles I have devised a personal behavior plan to help me get through this tough time in my life. I took my four favorite authors and compiled a game plan.
There are so many people out there exclaiming we can live our dreams and change our lives to meet any and all expectations we may have. If this is true I want to test it. Here is what I did.
I took Steve, Rhonda, Wayne and James’ writings and put together steps to manifesting my desires. I won't go into too much detail as to what they all stand for, but if you want to know more you are welcome to check out my recommended reading list and see for yourself what I read and see if you come up with a similar list. I would be curious to know what you come up with. I think there are many different ways to accomplish the same goals of living our desires. If you do this work please leave a comment below and let me know your steps.
This is what I am doing to change my life, because we all know that changing your behavior, no matter how badly you want it, can be very difficult. But just like anything else if we keep at it we can accomplish anything. Just ask James!
My Steps:
* Wake up every day with Gratitude for life and the Power to change my life and live my desires.
* Meditate to build my relationship with my higher self (or God, the Universe whatever you want to insert here to make you comfortable)
* Visualize what I want in my life and be grateful as if I already have it.
* Look for Universal clues that my desires are manifesting
* Take Immediate Action on those clues.
I will keep you posted and let you know how these steps are working for me, but for now I like the steps. Please leave comments to let me know if you liked this post or what steps you came up with.
Til then Be at Peace~!
